Trying to catch a very young Moon (only 13 hours old). One day before the big event I was at Sounio, to take some test shots. Clouds prevented me from capturing the thin crescent but at least I manage to capture a partridge (upper left photo.) At the day of the shooting I was at the top of Kitheronas mountain with some very good friends. One hour before the shooting the weather conditions were OK. Suddenly, in a matter of few minutes everything changed. Thick fog covered everything and winds started to blow stronger and stronger. We didn't have the chance to take photos of the very thin crescent but at least, to the way back home, we manage to save a young hedgehog! (lower right photo).

Few minutes before the shooting I discovered that I have forgotten the telescope mount... So I bent the tube to a camera tripod with a rope!

Perhaps the worst Veil nebula ever taken... The photo is taken at Ikaria island. 17 lights stacked at ImagesPlus, processed at Iris and Photoshop. Lens: EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
This time I was determined to catch a whole plane in front of the full Moon! After hours of anticipation, suddenly, out of nowhere here it is! Everything is set! It has the right course, the right angle, it approaches and Yes!...
Nooooo! *!##**^#@*
Another near miss...
Until next time!
I woke up early at 4.30 to capture a really interesting planetary conjunction before sunrise. Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury combined with a carefully chosen spot, a small islet at Vravrona, Attica. The planets and the Moon were there but I couldn't see them because of the mist... Venus is at the edge of visibility to the right of the picture.
1 second late...
Some times you get more than enough...
Lycabettus hill, the setting Moon but also a couple of antennas and some clouds right in the middle...
