This is a panorama taken from the top of a sandstone hill, during the sunset at Meteora. Meteora means 'suspended in the air' and it is one of the most impressive Greek landmarks. It is a complex of strangely shaped mountains located near Kalabaka in central Greece. Apart from their geological significance, Meteora is one of the most important Greek Orthodox Church centers as many dating from centuries ago are located on top of these gigantic rock pillars.
