There are many sources on the web about this. It is one of the first things to learn about photography and it is my favorite rule to break as you can see in many of my photos! The idea is to divide in your mind as you shoot a photo into horizontal and vertical thirds. (Some camera viewfinders provide these lines). Then you try to place your main point of interest at the intersections instead of dead centre making your photo synthesis more interesting. |
